Truck Strikes Cow, Creating Injury Accident Cow Injury Accident OH

At least one person was injured in a collision late Tuesday night, June 12, 2022. According to reports, a tractor-trailer struck a cow in the roadway and then was rear ended by another vehicle. The cow was reported to Ohio State Highway Patrol prior to the crash.

I-70 West in Lewisburg, OH was closed overnight while the accident scene was being cleared.

The names of the parties involved, and injuries involved are not yet available.

As a person injury attorney, I have been asked “Is it still possible to recovery damage if I am injured in an accident with livestock?”

It is important for drivers on rural roadways to remain vigilant and to watch out for livestock.

Ohio farmers and landowners have a duty to the public to properly fence and maintain their property to keep livestock out of Ohio roadways.

If you or someone you know has been injured in a collision with a livestock animal, consult with an attorney. You may be entitled to compensation from the owner of the livestock.
